Galaxy Blitz sets itself in remote galaxies, hundreds of years in the future, and populated by distinct lifeforms. These lifeforms make up four alliances, each of which has established thriving, ultra-intelligent civilizations descended from humans. These alliances, each of which has their own unique characteristics and physiology, have expanded beyond the borders of the planets on which they originally settled. They are driven to continue expanding as they are forced to continue searching for new resources to support their civilizations, but their colonial ambitions have set them on a collision course with old enemies and rivals.

The history and evolution of these alliances begins in 2077. At this point in history humans have made huge technological advances and are able to inhabit planets in our solar system. One alliance of humans settles on Mars, one alliance settles on Jupiter and another settles on a remote asteroid belt.

Having settled new planets, the population of each alliance skyrockets and competition between the alliances grows, with skirmishes and battles breaking out in space, while xenophobia also rears its head as people still residing on Earth claim to be the only true authentic humans.

Over the following century, as enmity between these alliances grows, full-scale wars break out with the Sun at the center of each alliance’s desires. Battles are precariously fought around the raging ball of fire at the center of our solar system, ultimately resulting in accidental damage being caused to one of the solar harvesters orbiting the Sun. The fallout from this is disastrous, as the Sun’s core is destabilized, threatening to wipe out all life within our solar system.

The alliances use their nascent interstellar hyperdrives to flee to different corners of the Universe, wandering for hundreds of years, until they find planets that are suitable to their own particularities. They settle and begin to build new civilizations around these planets, but are eventually contacted by an unknown race, which sends a message warning of the Universe’s limited resources. While cryptic, this message reveals certain unknown technologies, which each alliance studies in earnest.

Their studies result in their steady and subtle evolution over hundreds of years, until their human characteristics are no longer distinguishable, and each of the alliances becomes known by their new habits, skills and physical features.

As each life form prospers, their population grows along with their military might. Despite the cryptic warning, they start looking outward once more for resources with which to maintain their huge civilizations. As they conquer new planets and their influence grows, each of these life forms has set themselves on a collision course with old enemies. Who will come out on top? Which life form will you choose to conquer the galaxy with?
